Workshops for PhD Students
Since September 2019, PhD students admitted to the Faculty of Humanities at Eötvös Loránd University must successfully participate in one of the online courses offered by the Department of Digital Humanities as a prerequisite for completing their comprehensive exam. Courses are offered each academic semester, and the Doctoral Office will inform students about the opening of the application platform.
In total, only one course needs to be completed during the two years in order to participate in the comprehensive exam. However, completing the course is not a prerequisite for applying for the comprehensive exam. Therefore, students who complete the course in the semester of the exam need not worry about the deadlines for the application to the comprehensive exam, even if the workshops have not yet started.
The courses are continuously advertised during the semester, and a few weeks prior, a Forms page for registration will be opened. This page is the exclusive platform for application, as the courses are not listed in the Neptun system and cannot be enrolled through it. However, the completion of the course will be noted as a general entry in the Neptun system under the "Studies" section, specifically in "Official Entries."
Courses can be completed through attendance, and further details can be found under the "Available Courses" section. Alternatively, students can contact us via email at dhoktatas@btk.elte.hu for more information.
